Principal's Weekly Letter

March 14th, 2025


In the Classroom

I saw all sorts of hard work in the classroom this week.  Middle Schoolers were busy taking Math tests, History Tests, doing presentations and working to get all 3rd quarter assignments turned in before Spring Break.  5th graders were finishing up some work on Zearn and doing work with Mixed Numbers with Mr. Hallsten. 4th graders were identifying polygons and 3rd graders did some excellent presentations after reading their most recent novel.  2nd graders were getting ready for their KidBiz projects.  1st graders were doing weekly vocab lessons and kindergarten were busy with their table work (I saw some excellent handwriting).  Last but not least, we got a surprise visit in the office from a preschool class.  It was so nice to see their smiling happy faces.  


SPACE AVAILABLE (repeat from last week)

Kindergarten Testing will take place on March 31st.  We still have testing spaces available for kindergarten.  Please share with families that may be interested in Kindergarten for next year.  While a number of our preschool families choose to attend ELS for kindergarten, we still need new families to fill our kindergarten class.  New families that list current families as a reference is so helpful to us!  


Chapel Offerings

Our chapel offering for the quarter totaled $700.  The free will donations from the church totaled $2401.  The mission pledge from the congregation was $1000.  The total sent was $4101!  Thank you for supporting this worthy cause.

1st Annual Golf ELS Golf Tournament!

Sponsorship and registration is now available. Please sign up and share with others.  We also need support in procuring donations for prizes and lots of volunteers to help pull off this event!  More information to come over the break!
